Ragley Open Exhibition - Spirit of Place

We went over to Ragley Hall last weekend for the opening of the Ragley Open Exhibition. Naturally we took a picnic, was a shame it was so windy, little James wrapped himself up in a blanket while we ate!
The Hall and gardens are absolutely beautiful, I loved looking around. Rich's mum made a colossal picnic and we sat by the car eating it in near gale-force winds. Or just high wind, I'm probably exaggerating!
Here are some of my photos, the last one isn't mine, it's Rich, myself & the boys with Rich's mum and dad at the reception on the Terrace - I found us in the slideshow on the Ragley website!
The exhibition was fab by the way, lovely to be included alongside so many talented artists. The space was wonderful too, so light and airy and full of character, must be amazing to be the artist in residence there...

I'd like to go back for a tour of the hall at some point, it was amazing and unlike so many of these grand houses the family's wealth didn't come from exploitation (cotton mills/slave trade etc.) - I liked that fact.
