I'm working on a lot of circular pieces at the moment. I like circles, circular boards, roundies, the only thing I'm not so keen on is sanding and painting the edges of them.

The first image is a little commission based on Yoko (2015). The others are works in progress and the bottom two images are of Toty, an 89 x 89 cm piece painted with oil & enamel paint. The colours are all a little skewed because it's dark and I have the lights on in the studio, Toty's yellows are paler and the blues much deeper and nicer in real life.

We went to Biddulph Grange Gardens yesterday in the pouring rain. There weren't many people there at all, the boys had a fab time exploring. I love going to National Trust places when they're quiet, so there's a tip, go when the weather is awful (to the outdoorsey ones) and go close to their closing time. Fun (if you're fond of soltiude).

Tomorrow we're going to the zoo as Jim has an inset day. I always find trips to the zoo pretty stressful, simply because I have little patience and they're always busy, I have my fingers crossed that this visit won't be too bad.

Oh, and my charm bracelets are back! I'm really pleased with them, the main thing was getting my delicate goldie one in working order again and also attaching charms I'd had in boxes for years. Cost a small forture (for me anyway), I forgot how pricey gold is - my silver charm attachment cost a fraction of the price. I'll try to do a charm bracelet post later this week if I get the chance.
